Effect of Transverse Openings on Structural Behavior of Reinforced Concrete curved Beams

In this research, the effect of horizontal openings for two models of reinforced concrete was studied, and the original model was without openings, and a weakness was observed in the model with openings. We used an external reinforcement by means of carbon fibers, and an increase in the bearing capacity was observed. Compared to the control CCB, the ultimate load capacity of all specimens (CBH.O and CBH.S) reduced by about (11.7 percent and 5.4 percent, in both).
