Role of Trust in Adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things in Healthcare in India: A Review

Trust has played an essential role in the adoption of many changes and technologies. The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare are gaining prominence across the globe. AI and IoT offer to free up human resources from mundane tasks, alleviating the shortage of healthcare workers and improving accuracy and speed of diagnosis. This paper reviews existing literature on the role of Trust in adopting AI and IoT in Healthcare in India. This paper assumes that learnings from other Low-and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) and developed nations can be applied to India. This paper intends to summarize the role of Trust in adopting AI and IoT in healthcare in India and the top challenges for developing Trust in AI and IoT by healthcare stakeholders.
