Design and Development of Fibonacci Code for SAC-OCDMA System

In this paper, we propose a novel code for SAC-OCDMA system called Fibonacci with zero cross correlation to eliminate the multiple access interference (MAI). The performance of this proposed code is demonstrated via mathematical methods. Where, the effects of the contributed noises such as thermal noise and shot noise have been considered because of the use of direct detection method. Its performance will be checked also with simulation using Optisystem software where a system of three users will be created exploiting Fibonacci code with different channel spacing (0.6 nm, 0.8 nm and 1 nm). The suggested code has achieved good results in term of the bit error rate (BER) versus the distance and the power of source.
