Key competences of young entrepreneurs in the world of digitalisation based on the results of a Hungarian questionnaire research

The competences needed for successful entrepreneurship have undergone a huge transformation since the 2000s. Environmental challenges and rapidly changing knowledge have also changed the system of key competences. There is a large body of research and studies examining the range of competences needed to run a successful business, and a number of studies are also examining the conditions for becoming a successful entrepreneur. Several papers and studies agree that an entrepreneurial mindset needs to be developed already at secondary level for those professions where being an entrepreneur is a prerequisite. The aim of this study is to examine which competences future entrepreneurs see as important to strengthen, where they see areas for improvement and gaps that are essential for successful entrepreneurship.
