Parameters Estimation Technique of the Induction Motor Electric Drive With the Field-Oriented Control Tacking Into Account Core Losses

The equivalent circuit, as well as the induction motor electromagnetic processes equations, taking into account the core losses, is given. The rotor flux linkage observer structure based on the rotor circuit equations is proposed. The technique for the induction motor equivalent rotor time constant and the equivalent mutual inductance estimation are described, which is necessary for correct estimation of the rotor flux vector amplitude and the rotation angle. The method for parameter estimation is based on their step-by-step selection and verification of the estimation correctness fulfillment condition. For the proposed parameter estimating method, the necessary tools are listed. The results of parameter estimation for a traction asynchronous motor are presented.
