Abstract:

The arch of the foot is a unique structure of human beings. It allows the foot to withstand greater pressure and reduce the vibration generated by the body while walking, running, and jumping, so it is meaningful to identify whether the foot arch is normal by computer-based means. The common types of foot arches in life are divided into normal feet, high arched feet, and flat feet. High arched feet and flat feet are classified as foot deformities in medicine, which have a great impact on our health and life. Compared with the traditional foot arch detecting method, it not only requires an expensive foot arch detector, but also requires experts to spend time to analyze the results, and the efficiency is relatively low. In this paper, based on the Structure from motion algorithm, a foot arch detecting 3D reconstruction system is constructed. By uploading the foot video, 3D model will be reconstructed and the obtained 3D model allows us quickly and efficiently judge whether our foot arch belongs to a foot deformity. We can easily share the 3D model to doctor so that the doctor can take targeted treatment by model, thus reduce the time of manual analysis and improving the efficiency and accuracy.
