Modular Multi-User Smart Metering System

With the development of smart meters and smart grids, users' demands for smart meters are more diverse and com-plicated. Based on two main control chips and measurement chip RN8209D, combined with narrowband Internet of things (NB-IoT), this paper realizes the modular design of multi-user smart meter [6]. Tests show that the design allows the meter to freely set functions and the number of users, with a high degree of freedom, and solves the problems of high space occupancy and high-power consumption for single-family meters, and is suitable for densely populated areas such as communities and schools, and has high application prospects.
