Research on ESP Control Strategy Based on Particle Swarm and Fuzzy Logic Optimization Method

To ensure the vehicle driving stability under over-steer and under-steer in the steering process, an electronic stability program (ESP) system control strategy that combines the proportional feedback of four-wheel steering and differential braking to generate additional yaw moment is proposed, and the corresponding fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for vehicle stability is designed. In order to improve the design accuracy of the designed fuzzy logic controller and overcome the subjectivity of the membership function distribution and control parameters in the design process of fuzzy logic control, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to optimize the membership function distribution, proportion and quantization factor of the designed fuzzy logic controller. The simulation results show that compared with the fuzzy controller without optimization, the fuzzy controller optimized by the algorithm can significantly improve the stability of the vehicle, and its yaw rate and centroid sideslip angle are significantly improved.
