Improvement of GCC Congestion Control Algorithm in Streaming Media Transmission

With the advent of the 5G era, people have more and more needs for streaming media and real-time interactive applications with low delay and high bandwidth, while the transmission technology based on TCP is far from meeting the needs of real-time interaction. This paper studies the mainstream congestion control algorithm GCC in the field of real-time communication, as well as analyzes its overall structure, basic workflow and the calculation of key parameters. In view of the problem that the rate controller based on packet loss in GCC algorithm will reduce the transmission rate in the case of noise packet loss, GCC-BDP algorithm is improved and proposed.
