Diameter-reduced fiber with ultra-low bending loss

This paper introduces two types of diameter-reduced bending insensitive fibers:
$80/165\mu \mathrm{m}$
fiber and
$60/100\mu\mathrm{m}$
fiber. All the tests show that they combine small fiber diameter and bending insensitivity into one fiber. They have very good macro bending and mechanical performance and also meet ITU-T G.657.B3 specification except for the cladding and coating diameter. The fibers have a wide application prospects in the field of micro cable and high-density cable.
