Multifunctional Crutches for the Elderly

In response to the global trend of population aging, the existing crutches in the market are upgraded and integrated according to the travel needs and characteristics of the contemporary elderly, and thus a multi-functional crutch for the elderly is designed, and its design scheme is introduced to achieve a multi-purpose crutch in this paper. The old-aid crutches integrate lighting, keys, medicine storage, cushions, umbrellas, and fall alarm devices. This design responds to the new concept of “smart elderly care”, actively copes with the population aging, and improves the elderly care service system from the perspective of assisting the elderly, which helps to meet the growing needs of the people for a better life.
