Algorithm for Compensating Systematic Errors of Radar Measurements Based on Solving Cubic Equation

The work develops a model for measuring process based on the hypothesis of the rectilinear nature of the target motion along the observed trajectory segment. The model is represented by a polynomial equation of the third degree, which coefficients depend on the elevation and azimuth. Based on the analysis of its solutions using mathematical modeling, an algorithm for compensating systematic errors of radar measurements is synthesized. This determines the difference of the obtained result from the known ones. The results of mathematical modeling confirm that the obtained expressions correctly determine the systematic errors in the measurements of the elevation angle.
