Features of a new THz/XUV endstation after FLASH2020+

The FLASH2020 + upgrade project will include a new semi-permanent endstation for the FLASH1 THz beamline at DESY [1]. The FLASH THz-XUV pump probe facility provides XUV and THz pulses with low timing jitter. Combining these photon beams for pump-probe experiments alongside with an externally synchronized near-infrared (NIR) femtosecond laser system will promote research in various scientific fields. The endstation is capable of offering both, transmission- and reflection geometries combined with additional features such as a cryo-magnet and a cryogenic system at the sample position. Diagnostics of the photon beams near the sample position will also be available with novel tools under development.
