Lag Correction Factor Measurement Based on the Temporal Power Spectral Density and Its Size

In fluoroscopy imaging, flat-panel dynamic detectors can be employed to acquire X-ray image sequencies. Due to trapped charges in photodiodes and incomplete their readouts, lag signals from previous image frames are produced and should be reduced. The lag signal strength can be observed by measuring the lag correction factor (LCF), which can also be used to correct the measured noise power spectrum. In this paper, the LCF measurement method introduced in the IEC62220-1-3 standard is experimentally investigated to find an appropriate number of required images. Experiments showed that the number was between 8 and 32.
