Isolated Boost Converter and Inverter System for Domestic Applications

Solar energy is one of the most suitable and sus-tainable renewable energy source for maintaining the raise in energy demand and need of keeping the environment clean without causing any harm to it. This paper deals with a open loop single-stage isolated boost converter for domestic applications. The components are designed for reducing the ripple in the output voltage and current. The single stage boost converter and inverter system is found to have high transients and duty ratio when compared to the same system replaced with an isolated boost converter. The MATLAB/SIMULINK model for 1kW load has been successfully created and presented.
