Sustainability Analysis of Solar Home System in Bangladesh

The opportunity and the possibility of the solar home system perspective in Bangladesh are the main topics of discussion in this study. This paper provides a design for an environmentally friendly, independent, and cost-effective system that provides solar power in the Bangladeshi district of Tangail. The paper will discuss off-grid connection and which will be compared with grid connection. It also discusses which of the offgrid and grid-connection is easier to use and comparatively less costly, which will satisfy all the customers. Bangladesh currently sells an average of about 60,000 solar home systems per month. Around 3 million solar home systems have been installed across the country with the help of various NGOs. Bangladesh, like other countries in the world, is increasingly relying on renewable energy. At present, the process of setting up a solar park with a capacity of 1,046 MW is underway across the country. If these projects are implemented, it will be possible to connect 1,960 MW electricity to the national grid through solar park. According to the data provided by Grader, at present 415 MW of electricity is being generated from solar panels (solar panels), 2.9 MW from wind, 230 MW from water, 63 MW from biogas and 0.4 MW from biomass. By 2025, renewable solar and wind energy will supply 45% of the country’s total used energy. And by 2050 it will be SO percent. This study made use of the HOMER Pro PC demonstration software to illustrate the structure, physical conduct, and life cycle cost of the solution.
