Evaluation The Performance of Statistical and Information-Theoretic Properties over FFT-OFDM

OFDM is a technique that utilized for wireless communication. The effectiveness of OFDM lies in its ability to frequency selective fading and multipath. In this paper, sets of images transmitted over OFDM and influenced by two types of noise (Rayleigh and impulse) of noise. Next, evaluation of the performance of statistical (Structural Similarity Image Measure (SSIM), (2D correlation)) and information-theoretic (joint histogram measure) properties is conducted to analyze the similarity between the original images and those received from OFDM. A human face dataset called AT & T used in the experiments. Different modulation schemes utilized such as BPSK, QBPSK, 8PSK, and 16-QAM in each of the different signal to noise ratios (SNR).
