Non Invasive Glucose Detection with Rectangular Dielectric Resonator

In this paper, a rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) has been designed for the non-invasive method of glucose checking. This antenna sensor uses an Alumina Ceramic dielectric resonator fed by a 50-ohm microstrip line. In this proposed sensor, the thumb will be placed on the dielectric resonator which causes changes in input impedance which is proportional to the change of the blood permittivity on different glucose concentration. When we placed the thumb on the sensor there will be a shift in the resonance frequency. The sensor was simulated on the CST simulation software. The 3D electromagnetic model of thumb has also been simulated using a Cole-Cole model. A shift of the resonant frequency is observed as the concentration of glucose gets higher.
