A Review on Developing Smart Mask for Individual Health Status Monitoring and Prediction

The novel corona virus originated from animals and transmitted to human beings and spread across the world and so far 4,48,40,668 people got affected due to COVID 19. About 59, 94,519 people lost their life by the infections and respiratory problems. Different types of vaccine had been invented by many countries for the controlling and spread of the novel corona virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) had announced washing hands, wearing face mask and maintaining social distance will avoid the spread of the virus. Implementation of continuous lock down and making the people idle will lead to the cause of poverty and empowerment. The Government has taken several relief measures for bringing back all people to their normal life. The new normal life has changed the life style of every one by wearing mask as mandatory in shopping malls, theatres and all the public places. In this paper, a review is made on various literatures on the existing models to understand the challenges in embedding a sensor in face mask and sensing the health parameter of the infected persons, alerting the information of the infected persons in the crowded places, and tracking, monitoring the heart beat, pulse and movements of the infected persons. The existing challenges are overcome by proposing a new smart mask to monitor and predict the health status of the infected persons.
