Analysis of Energy Storage Configuration of Guangshui New Power System with New Energy Science and Technology Demonstration Project

Building a new power system with new energy as the mainstay is one of the important ways to achieve carbon neutrality. State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., LTD. is building Guangshui new power system with new energy science and technology demonstration project, which is located in Guangshui county, Suizhou city, Hubei province. In this paper, the basic situation of this demonstration project is introduced. The function of energy storage in this demonstration project is analyzed. The supporting effect of energy storage configuration on the stability of power grid in the demonstration area is researched. The effect of energy storage on the optimal operation of power grid in the demonstration area is studied. The cost of energy storage project in the demonstration area is estimated.
