A Novel Mini-LED Backlit Driving Circuit Using PWM Mechanism with $\mathbf{V}_{\mathbf{TH}}$ and $\mathbf{V}_{\mathbf{SS}}$ I-R Rise Compensation

A 9T3C driving circuit with the PWM mechanism is proposed, which is applied to the mini-LED backlit module in LCD. The proposed circuit eliminates the effects of variations in threshold voltage $(\mathrm{V}_{\text{TH}})$ of driving thin- film transistor (TFT) and current-resistance (I-R) rises in power lines to generate stable driving current for mini-LED. In addition, $\mathrm{V}_{\text{TH}}$ variations of the control TFT are also compensated to control the emission time precisely. Simulation results show that the relative current error rates are under 4.5% and verify the grayscale display capability. Hence, the proposed circuit, of which feasibility is confirmed, has the capability of acting as a mini-LED backlit circuit in the LCD application.
