Interoperability Research and Experiments in 4G/5G Netwok

To ensure that UEs enjoy uninterrupted service during 4G/5G mobility, the network needs to provide effective mobility management. In 4G/5G networks, mobility management can be divided into cell reselection, handover and redirection, depending on whether the UE is in an idle or connected state. The article focuses on mobility management in 5G systems and interoperability schemes between 4G/5G, as well as mobility management experiments in existing networks, to provide a reference for optimising mobility management functions in 4G/5G networks.
