Review on the Development of Low Level Windshear Detection Technology

Low level windshear is a hazardous weather that poses a great threat to aircraft takeoff and landing. To reduce the harm caused by low level windshear, people have invented a low level windshear detection system, which can effectively detect the occurrence of downburst. This paper introduces the concept of low level windshear and its harm to flight operation at the beginning, then sorts out different types of low level windshear according to the causes of low level windshear in the main text, and focuses on the technical development status of low level windshear detection system at home and abroad. Finally, it summarizes the difficulties and future development direction of low level windshear detection system. A study of the current state of development of low-altitude wind shear detection systems at home and abroad will help scholars in China to carry out research and system development in this field.
