Influence of O₂ on partial discharge decomposition properties of C₅F₁₀O/N₂/O₂ gas mixture

The strong greenhouse effect of SF6 requires the power industry to reduce its consumption, and C5 F10 O is a promising eco-friendly insulating gas medium. In this paper, the effect of O2 on partial discharge decomposition properties of C5 F10 O/N2/O2 gas mixture was investigated. The results show that the PD decomposition products of C5 F10 O/N2/O2 gas mixture are CF4, C2 F6, C3 F6, C3 F8, C3 HF7, CF2 O, CO2, C2 F6 O3, CO and C4 F10. The addition of O2 has an inhibitory effect on the formation of C2 F6, C3 F6, C3 F8, C3 HF7, C4 F10, CF2 O and C2 F6 O3, while promotes the production of CF4 and CO. The addition of 4%O2 greatly promotes the production of CO2, but adding 8%O2 can inhibit the production of CO2.
