Analysis and Design of an Interleaved DC-DC Cuk Converter with High Efficiency

Generally, the operation of conventional DC-DC Cuk converter set on continuous conduction mode creates a high input current ripple and injects undesirable harmonics to the source. As a result, the interleaved DC-DC Cuk converter is utilized to mitigate the input current ripple. Since, high efficiency is important, in this paper, fully soft switched interleaved DC-DC converter is proposed which is done by a single auxiliary switch in its structure. The simple control circuit remains PWM. The converter is analyzed and simulated. The results approve the theoretical analysis at steady state condition.
