Advanced DMT Modem as an Element of the PON / xDSL System

The development of new methods of high-speed data transmission without intersymbol interference represents a latest direction to solve the problem of increasing the efficiency of digital transmission systems. An example of the prospects of the last mile discrete messages transmission by using the Discrete Multi Tone method with Digital Subscriber Line technology is ultrafast - xG.fast. To increase the spectral efficiency of the PON / xDSL network, a block diagram of a digital data transmission system with multifrequency modulation and optimal finite signals has been developed, which allows leveling ISI at the outputs of Butterworth channel filters. At the same time, the numerical calculation and analysis of the spectral energy efficiency of the modem demonstrates a gain in spectral efficiency of more than 2 times compared to similar modems.
