Magnetic Field Shielding Behavior of Mesh Wire in Low Frequencies

With the rapid advancement of electronics and wireless communication technologies, our daily electromagnetic environment is getting increasingly complicated. A wire mesh is used for shielding electromagnetic fields, which are composed of thin conductive wires that will affect the behavior of electromagnetic fields within it. Most researchers have discussed the influence of electromagnetic fields in solid metal, but few of them have explored the effects of wire mesh shielding. Analytical, the electromagnetic shielding of wire-mesh is determined in several characteristic electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) configurations by using low-frequency models together with a classical analysis. Experimentally, the shielding effectiveness of wire mesh has been measured, through designing the wire mesh shields in different sizes to determine their impact on shielding effectiveness. By changing the size of the aperture, we notice that the shielding effectiveness increases when the size of the aperture decreases.
