A Method of Color Images Compression

This paper presents a method for compressing a color image. The method works directly with color images without converting the images to another color scale. The method is applied to a set of specific images, but is also effective for different types of images. The obtained results and the efficiency of the method are compared with already known programs and algorithms for image compression, including those in which the image is converted into a new color scale, and then returned to the original color scale. Tables describe the results obtained from comparisons of different image compression methods.
