The place of the blockchain in the recycling of raw materials

According to the criteria for sustainable development, there are mechanisms for the implementation of the measures of the circular economy for recycling and reusing used materials in new products such as plastics, leather, glass, paper, and others. In order to achieve efficiency and the ability to analyze the processes of recycling and reuse, it is necessary to monitor the material flows in the chain user-processor-producer-user. According to European laws and strategies, this process must be based on digital technologies. The subject of this article is an analysis of the possibility of applying a blockchain at the entrance of a waste processing plant. For this purpose, the main problems in waste processing are first considered, the construction of a digitalized separation plant is proposed, and based on them a conceptual model for communication among the participants is suggested - citizens, waste collection companies, separation plant, recycling plant.
