Ergonomic Analysis of the Conventional Water Bottle Handle Grip Design

All in all, the programs for preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) focus exclusively on the three main work-related ergonomic stressors - extremely repetitive job tasks, high force loads and prolonged poor workplace postures, as well as combinations of these long-term exposures, addressing partially those risk factors that are external to the working environment but are likely to exert similar adverse health effects. Musculoskeletal disorders, therefore, are inextricably linked to individual risk factors, as the sources of hazards might not only be physical, psychological and organizational in their nature. Moreover, the design of management and hand work tools should be seriously considered as another major culprit.The overall aim of the study is to evaluate, through the use of thermal imaging diagnostics, the ergonomics in the design of the handle grips of some table water bottles, most commonly used in Bulgarian households.
