Deployment of Real-Time Energy Monitoring System Using IoT

Tremendous growth in global population and industry 4.0 leads to a huge need for electricity for various commercial, industrial, agricultural, and societal applications. The cost of electricity generation, as well as consumption, is increasing due to continuous declination in fossil fuel, the uncertainty of renewable energy, and the high cost of atomic power generation. Thus, there is a need for a smart low-cost energy management system that can save energy in an organization. This article offers an Internet of Things-based energy management gadget to monitor electricity consumption on home appliances and help assess electricity consumption on a daily and weekly basis. The real-time deployment of the proposed scheme shows a simple, portable, and low-cost scheme for the efficient utilization of electricity.
