SUSTIE Core Engine: Efficient IoT Platform for Smart Facility Solutions

SUSTIE test facility, it was completed in 2020, facilitate to develop energy-conservation technologies as well as contribute to the realization of more comfortable and energy-efficient indoor environments. The facility achieved the top rank of energy performance certification “BELS” and wellness-office certification “CASBEE-WO” in Japan. To accelerate research and evaluation, we propose an efficient IoT platform called SUSTIE Core Engine. The platform provides gathering real-time data, storing both design data and time-series data with coordinates, and simulation interface to treat three requirements of IoT platform for smart facility. We implement the platform to on-site system in the test facility, and evaluate gateway, spatiotemporal database, and simulation interface. Various our R&D applications such as visualization of environment, calculation of operation indices and ZEB operation screens are running on the platform.
