A Fast Holomorphic Method to Evaluate Available Transmission Capacity with Large Scale Wind Turbines

In this paper, to take advantage of the two methods, Holomorphic embedding power or load flow and Newton Raphson, both were combined. In an attempt to rectify earlier techniques, a potential energy barrier surface estimate was also used in conjunction to assess transient stability. A hybrid technique for dynamic available transfer capacity computation was developed using a combination of dynamic and static methods. In a large, real-world network, the findings showed greater appropriateness, accuracy, and speed than existing dynamic available transfer capacity techniques. This was proven in the west of Iran (848 buses) where there are several wind farms.
