Deployment, Standardization and Regulatory Challenges Of 5G Services In Africa: Nigeria As A Case Study

The spread of information and Communications Technologies equipment and system such as mobile phones, laptops and tablets presented a major change in our world. People are now using their personal computers to connect to the several devices all over the world through which they access all the necessary information. The way of this interconnection between several devices makes wireless communication one of the most unique and suitable way for communications. However, the present technological advancement that give birth to disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Over the Top services (OTT), Internet of Things (IoT), Fifth Generation (5G) services etc. It is, therefore, becomes necessary for telecom regulators, government as well as policy makers to facilitate the 5G services deployment using legal and regulatory actions.
