Analysis on Motion Stability and Safety of hovercraft in ice region

The hovercraft is very suitable for the complex terrain such as polar melting pool and ice crevasses scattered everywhere, and has obvious advantages in the application of polar environment. The friction between the hovercraft and the ice surface is small. When the hovercraft is disturbed by the wind or steered, the instability phenomenon of large sideslip and tail flick would occur, which seriously limits the application of the hovercraft in the ice area. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the research on the ice surface stability and safety characteristics of the hovercraft. Aiming at a certain type of polar hovercraft, a mathematical model of small disturbance maneuvering movement of the hovercraft on the ice surface is established to study the maneuvering stability, which has great industry value for the maneuvering control of hovercraft vehicle in the ice area.
