A High-gain Low-voltage BiCMOS Voltage Differencing Gain Amplifier and Application

This article is objected to present a new structure of versatile active building block, namely BiCMOS voltage differencing gain amplifier (VDGA). The proposed building block was designed using a bipolar and 0.35µm CMOS transistors technology, offering advantages from both technologies. The proposed building block provides performances with high transconductance gain, wide range of tunability, linearity, low-voltage operation and nearly infinite input impedance. The PSpice simulation results are agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The total power consumption is 0.3mW at ±0.75V supply voltage. Additionally, the application of the proposed building block to a full-wave precision rectifier is discussed to show workability of the proposed building block.
