Abstract:

In the present era, the use of technology is intrinsically linked to the continuous betterment of human life. The application of modern technologies in agricultural sectors is ascending due to the necessity of farmers to keep pace with the newest technological advancements. A variety of tasks need to be accomplished in agricultural lands in a short span of time including the use of pesticides. This task can be effectively done with the help of modern pieces of machinery. The spraying of pesticides in agricultural fields is very crucial in order to protect the crop from a variety of pests and diseases. The purpose of developing this GPS-Guided Spraying Machine (SM) is to spray pesticides all over the land equally and efficiently as well as solar energy is used to power the entire system. This machine reduces the overdose of pesticides by evenly spraying pesticides all over the land. Farmers can check the images of the land covered after completing the task or while spraying pesticides with the help of an android app. The proposed system architecture shows how the Global Positioning System (GPS) based SM works. The experimental results show a substantial improvement for this proposed model where this designed technology saves resources like water and chemicals as well as will protect crops from overdosing of pesticides.
