For this to achieve the plan of action is a “SMART VISION BASED ASISSTANT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE” is to mould an efficacious apparatus that aids the perceivably diminish folks through object distinguishing and location categorization. The planned approach employs Raspberry-Pi, Camera Module, Ultrasonic Sensor, Earphones accessible in framing a suitable application. The object detection is carried out by using YOLO algorithm with a suitable framework. The ultrasonic sensor is used for distance calculation to the obstacle or the object which are on their way. The instruction to the end user is given in the form of voice in or voice out by using Earphones. The system helps to steer with efficient way of serving the people with their highest efficiency in everyday of their life.
