Overheating Analysis of Mobile Phone Temperature Based on Multitasking Process

Technological developments are now beginning to trend with the presence of smartphones. Smartphones are phones that have high-level capabilities, and generally have functions like computers. Many applications such as social networking, games, maps, educational apps, office applications can be implemented on smartphones. With a multitasking process that runs many applications in one process. Multitasking consumes a lot of memory causing limited space on the processor which affects processor performance. In addition, many mobile users run applications for a long time. Unwittingly, the incident also affects the increasing temperature of the mobile CPU, and the battery of our mobile phone quickly empty. Therefore, the objective of the study was to cluster the results of Cellular temperature measurements based on the Multitasking Process. The method used in this research using the K-mean algorithm. While the data was obtained from the process of recording data when performing multitasking test phones. The results from the research indicate cluster temperature changes when multitasking occurs in 5 applications that run simultaneously with 20 tasks and will change again when 8 applications run in multitasking with 33 assigned tasks. The conclusion is the experimental results prove that the number of applications that are executed and tasks that are given can make changes in the phone temperature. The results of the study stated that the best cluster value DBI was 0.635. The results of the cluster show change in temperature when multitasking.
