Android Application Design for Monitoring Weather Parameter and PM 2.5

Weather parameters and PM2.5 are important to become the object of observation. These two parameters have an influence on various fields. Weather parameters, for example, are very influential in the fields of agriculture, aviation, disasters and many more. PM2.5 parameter information is very much needed as disaster mitigation in the event of a widespread forest fire disaster. In this paper, we will discuss how to build an android application that functions to display weather and PM2.5 parameter data from sensors located at the observation station. The existence of this android application will make it easier for users to access information from anywhere using a mobile device via an internet connection. The design of the application is done by following the steps for making the application so that the application is more structured and can access data properly from sensors at the observation station that sends data to the database server. In general, the system consists of sensor devices and data senders, data base servers and android applications. To access the data base server, the Laravel framework is used to read data and generate an API so that it is more easily accessible by programs on android applications that use React Native. The test results show that the system as a whole is running well with the test parameters in the form of the success of the system in sending data, storing data in the database and displaying data on android applications and user friendly applications.
