A Review of Various Channel Estimation Techniques for Multicarrier Systems in 5G/6G Wireless Communications

To achieve greater spectrum, energy efficiency, and quality of service (QoS) in terms of delay, reliability, and security, the deployment of 5G system is proposed to handle a considerable mobile data flow volume in addition to a wide range of communication links. Massive multiple-input and multiple-output (mMIMO) is a significant wireless communication technique for 5G network. It has the capability to give greater efficiency spectrum and increased connection dependability, as well as to accommodate a large number of users who are similarly interested in efficiency and accuracy. Many channel estimating (CE) techniques have been developed for channel estimation. The focus of suggested CE schemes in most situations is to improve CE performance and complexity in order to ensure signal reception of high quality and enhanced throughput of the system. The approaches for channel estimation are discussed in this paper for massive MIMO systems. A comparison of the various channel estimation methods is also given.
