Energy Efficiency of Wind Electical Plant Models Localized in the Russian Federation on the Repeatability Function of Wind Speed

The energy efficiency calculation of wind electrical plant (WEP) models localized in the Russian Federation is presented and the choice of the most energy efficient model in the conditions of Dubki village is made. On the basis of processing the database of actual data on wind speeds for the period from 1989 to 1993 year was taken as a calculation year. The programming system MATLAB - Simulink calculated main energy indicators for wind speed repeatability by using of three models of wind power plant with high capacity factors from manufacturers Vestas, SiemensGamesa, Lagerwey. Taking into account that Vestas V126-4.2 and SiemensGamesa SG132-3,4 are the models with high installed capacity, their logistics and installation of such large-size equipment in Dubki village, piedmont region of Dagestan is a complicated problem, because WEP models with installed capacity more than 3 MW are primarily designed for transportation by sea for offshore wind farms or for on-shore wind farms. The third model - Lagerwey L100/2.5 with installed capacity of 2.5 MW is more energy efficient than the other two models, so it is advisable to use this model as part of the wind farm in Dubki.
