Intelligent Inspection Enabling Platform for Power Distribution Network Based on 5G Wireless Communication Connected Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

The fast development of the fifth generation (5G) wireless communication network, has enabled many customized business in various kinds of industries. It brings feasibility of realizing the remote control, image and data transmission via unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and the remote control of those UAVs under the 5G communication network manually to realize the inspection scheme of the power distribution network. At present, the operation of UAV usually relies on professional training, which has high labor cost, and is not suitable for the urgent needs of customers in traditional power supply industries. In this paper, an intelligent inspection enabling platform for fault detection of power distribution network Based on 5G wireless communication connected UAV has been built, which can realize automatic 7 × 24-hour daily inspection of power distribution network, and form a new UAV autonomous and periodic automatic inspection system. The system built in this paper has been able to use the latest cloud computing and artificial intelligent and analysis technology in the power supply system inspection, and realize intelligent, unmanned, refined inspection and management.
