Reporting land cover change from analysis of multiscale remote sensing data

Most current research derives change assessment statistics by evaluating multitemporal data obtained from a single satellite system. As new systems with improved spatial, spectral and temporal resolutions become available, long-term assessments will necessitate incorporation of data from multiple satellite systems in order to provide data continuity and to take advantage of the improved data gathering technology. This research addresses multiscale change assessment and reporting issues related to changes observed in remotely sensed data at different levels of spatial and thematic detail.
