Multiband Antenna Design for Modern Wireless Communication System

a unique antenna design has been considered which consists of a combination of patches and slots. Patches are modified circles with circular concentric in-plane slot. A rectangular matrix of this basis is developed with modified triangular patches in the annular region between modified circular patch. The dimension of the antenna is 38mm×31mm. We have used dielectric Rogers RT5880, having a relative permittivity of 2.2, as substrate in this antenna design. The proposed antenna can improve the capacity and transmission rates in a communication system and operate at millimeter-wave frequency band 28GHz and 35 GHz. Its corresponding bandwidth are 3.1 GHz and 1.7GHz. The proposed antenna design achieves value addition in terms of features with the use of multiple modified slots and patches at 28 and 35 GHz. It will meet the requirements of future generation.
