Comparison of sun-tracking and fixed solar panel data with Python's PVLib classes

The advancements in technology have helped us utilize sustainable and renewable sources of energy in a more efficient manner. The popularity of solar panels has increased in the past years across the globe. This paper presents the power and energy analysis of sun-tracking panel and fixed solar panel. Python’s PVLib classes are used for obtaining the angle of elevation and irradiance for the same location as the hardware setup. We have graphically compared the hardware results with it to understand its functioning. From this report, we have drawn conclusions of power efficiency, energy and overall solar-panel performance.
