The Structural Diagram for the Development of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Cervical Cancer Risk Assessment

Human papillomavirus (HPV) as a common virus is a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) that is contracted by the female from the male during sexual intercourse. To mitigate the spread of the infection, it is advisable that the society at large pays utmost attention to every detail of HPV infections and genotypes. When the society is well informed, the spread of the infection will be under control and there would be a reduction of cervical cancer development among women. The purpose of this article is to introduce the structural diagram for the development of the HPV and cervical cancer risk assessment as part of the ongoing HPV awareness project. The structural diagram includes the HPV and cervical cancer design diagram, flowchart, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram. As this is an ongoing project, the structural diagram for the development of the risk assessment will further be developed into a working online cross-platform HPV and cervical cancer risk assessment. In future, the risk assessment will be capable of calculating risk-scores for HPV and cervical cancer based on the parameters included in it. These parameters are the low-risk and high-risk factors causing HPV infections in both men and women and the development of cervical cancer in women. When the risk assessment is fully implemented, it will be used worldwide by individuals or healthcare organizations to measure level of risk of HPV-infection in male and female and cervical cancer in female.
