A Low-Complexity Implementation of Multi-Rate Frames Capture Synchronization

An implementation scheme for receiving multi-rate frames was proposed in this paper. In the scheme, the same capture synchronization process was implied. The scheme realized the low-complexity implementation of capture synchronization of multiple received frame types with different PN code periods. In the paper, multiple PN length frame types were introduced. The conventional separate capture process was described and the reusing capture process was proposed. The capture synchronization performance of the two models was then compared in the Matlab simulation by the Monte Carlo simulation. Finally, the multi-rate frames reusing capture reception implementation consumed fewer FFT and complex multiplication computing resources, and consumed less storage resources in the process of differential coherence accumulation between symbols. According to the implementation analysis, the reusing capture implementation realized the low-complexity capture of multi-rate frames.
