Ekagra, an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle: Cost-Effective System Design and Implementation

Ekagra is the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle developed by a student-run organization based at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Pune. Ekagra represents a cost-effective solution in underwater technology in an otherwise expensive market. It can be deployed to carry out different underwater tasks such as traversal, image, and pattern recognition, and picking, placing, and arranging objects. An extensive amount of research into the system design has helped us get noteworthy results to build it from the ground up as a general-purpose robot that can serve to explore areas that humans safely cannot.
