The Atmospheric Profiling Analysis over Stratosphere-Troposphere Layer above Ocean during Pandemic from GPS-RO Measurement

The convection processes between stratosphere-troposphere layer is a key element as an indicator for climate changes. The human activities that cause the emission of greenhouse gasses were lead to the year 2020 as the second warmest year before 2016. Furthermore, the understanding of the correlation between the changes of atmospheric profiling and climate event can help the researchers to find a better solution to avoid any upcoming disaster. Therefore, this study has been proposed to investigate the atmospheric profiling changes element by using the GPS radio occultation (RO) data signal from MetopA mission to understand the atmospheric profiling structure over the Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere (UTLS) layer. The analysis has been divided into three latitudinal zones which ±0° to ±25°, ±25° to ±65°, and ±65° to ±90° as a Tropical, Sub-tropical and Polar zones respectively. The analysis shows that the abnormality of temperature distribution trend in vertical resolution for the month of September to December 2020 causes the changes of UTLS location due to the warmest surface of the ocean with lower pressure that could lead the tropical cyclone production.
